Mary Pierce
Mary Pierce, Singer/Songwriter of Celtic/Folk music shares her original music through her albums, Miles Away (2011), Dublin Bay (2012), Hideaway (2020) and Memory Road. Her songs have reached across the globe – from Ireland to Israel, Japan to Australia, South America, US, Canada and Mexico. Born in White Plains, New York and raised in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, her music is “inspired by the beauty of nature and the human spirit that shines in all of us and is what connects us all. She leaves each song with an openness that allows love to enter the heart and be transformed.“ Her soothing, clear voice with Celtic-type qualities, has been compared to Sarah McLachlan, Natalie Merchant, Enya, Joni Mitchell and the Irish Band The Coors. Mary’s passion for writing can be heard throughout her music, which brings a journey of hope, renewed love, and gratitude.
Mary has collaborated for a decade with David Shenton, an internationally recognized pianist, violinist, arranger and the producer of and musician on the albums and who has worked with renowned artists such as Renee Fleming, Vanessa Williams, and Tony Bennett. Mary collaborated with her sister, Margaret Gianquinto (piano, guitar, and harmony vocals) on her first album (Miles Away) who brought her authentic sound and beautiful vocal blend to the songs. Rudolph-Vernas-Colas’s (guitar) versatility and effortless solo lines can be heard throughout the albums and, Gabriel Donohue, guitarist for The Chieftains, brings his distinctive creations on guitar, bodhran drum, and Irish whistle on the new Album, Hideaway. Mary is so grateful for all the amazing talent on the albums and invites you to share in this journey of renewal and love.
